Here is the LATEST NEWs from Don Schott, musician, recording tech, stagehand and promoter of fine music.

So for months I did not update this site. What is wrong with me. Well there is a lot going on

First - Don't Fear the Reverb is in RECORD mode; yeah, that's right. We are finally getting around to putting our first REAL recording. How long has it been, 4 years? anyway more updates on that later. Should be about half and half new compositions and standards (as we know them)

Second: - Don (hey that's me) got a call from Buddy Rogers' Music the other day and his new BASS VI from the Fender custom shop is in. WOW

Third :

There is going to be another SURF EXPLOSION 3 at the Southgate House Ballroom this time. The Volcanos, the Maladroits and a return appearance by ROGER AND THE RAYBANDS from Chicago. A new poster is being designed by one of the Volcanos and just yesterday as a Valentine Day Special - Don't Fear the Reverb consented to be on the bill. More Later but the date is set for MAY 2.

Fourth: Don't Fear the Reverb and Eye Records have put up the jack to have a special coin - a path tag to be exact - made up to help promote the WAIF 88.3 Rockin' and Surfin' Show and to help generate needed funds to keep the signal on a server. As of yesterday (FEB 14) , I was told by the "Midwest Surf Guy" of WAIF that LIVE365! may be picking up WAIF and though there would be some costs the R&S show will be helping share the financial load and the sale of these pathtags can help a lot.
